MIDDLE HEAD, KELTIC LODGE, (Cape Breton Island)

Uses: Hiking

Time: 1.5 hrs

Length: 4 km

Difficulty: Not too bad, few hills to climb but nothing too steep and trail is well marked.

Location:  From Keltic Lodge at Ingonish (Cape Breton Island) walk past the main lodge about 100 m toward the cottages.  There is a parking lot and trail map marking the start of the trail here.

Description:  This trail follows through woods and old farmland but you are never too far from the rocky coastline.  The view at the end of the trail is spectacular as you can look out to see or back towards Cape Smokey.

Notes:  Take binoculars and look for whales, dolphins and seabirds

Rating: 5
