KENTVILLE RAVINE

Length:  2 km

Location: At Kentville Agricultural Center (at eastern end Kentville) on Hwy 1.  There is a small parking lot just next to the main entrance to the Center or you can pick up the trail at the picnic grounds farther up the hill.

Description: Wide-open easily followed trail through predominantly old growth evergreen forest along the fast-flowing Elderkin River.  Trail crosses river three times over small concrete bridges.  Gradual 20 m waterfall at end of trail.

Notes: If biking, best to start just beside Hwy 1 to avoid steep hill.  If starting at Picnic Park, must traverse down steep hill but cuts off about 500m off distance.  Few wet spots near end of trail.
