HARRINGTON FALLS, (near Parrsboro)Uses: Hiking Time: 1-1.5 hrs Length: estimated at 2 km return trip. Difficulty: very long and steep bank to get down to rover bottom, trail is also difficult to follow, especially when going down hillside. Trail is marked by flagging tape but these could get easily blown off. Location: Take Route 2 from Glenholme to Parrsboro. After crossing Economy Mountain, continue to Five Islands. Here there will be well-maintained logging road that proceeds to the right, just after crossing the river. This is Lynn Road. Take this road (uphill) for about 4.5 km until the road seems to level out. Keep a sharp eye out for a small clearing on the left that appears like an old road. It may be marked by flagging tape as well. This is the trailhead. Description: There is a high waterfall here flowing perpendicularly into a fast flowing river. The falls can be very spectacular when lots of water is flowing but it's a very difficult hike to see a little drip of water when levels are low. Notes: go in spring when water levels are high. Only for experienced hikers.
