CRYSTAL CRESCENT BEACH

Location:  From Halifax, go through the Armdale Rotary and proceed along Route 349, Herring Cove Road.  Follow the signs to Crystal Crescent Beach - its about a half hour drive from Halifax.  Once at the beach, follow the trail behind the dunes out towards the point (southward).

Description: At the end of this first point, there is a smaller beach, locally famous for its nude bathers.  Beyond this, one can follow along the coastal rocks for several hours before deciding to turn around and follow back along the granite outcrops.  This trail follows the coastline in its entirety and it is quite possible to make an all day hike out of it.
