BOB BLUFF / BULL BEACH TRAILUses: Hiking Time: 3.5 hrs Length: 3 km or 9 km Difficulty: 3 Location: Also from the 4th parking lot, at the end of the road, walk down to the beach and head north towards Bob Bluff. Description: The trail starts at the northern end of the sandy beach. A trail map is posted here. The first section passes mostly through coastal forest with a few observation points looking back at the beach and out towards coastal islands. At Bob Bluff, take some time to explore the rock formations and observe waves rushing into the large crevice caused by a fault in the bedrock. The total distance of the return hike from here is 3km. If you choose to go on, the trail continues another 3km out to Bull Beach. This is a small, but very quiet sandy beach. About half way there the trail becomes less distinguishable. In some places, it is a bit swampy. It may be preferable to follow along the rocky shoreline in some areas until you get to the beach. At the beach, you must turn around and retrace your path or go about 200m across the peninsula to where the main road is located. The total distance for the return hike is almost 9.5 km.
