Advertising Information For Property Owners

Dear owner, in this section of the site, we would like to introduce our rental advertising system.  Thanks to the internet, you can rent out your property direct, without any intermediaries. This creates many advantages when it comes down to profiting from your home.  The main advantages are:

  • Becoming acquainted with the clients who come to your home

  • Supervise the bookings

  • Set the rates and conditions of the rental

  • Gain more profit than renting out through an intermediary

  • Being able to put aside a few weeks for yourself or your friends

  • Not feel held to any temporary contracts with intermediaries involved

  • We welcome you to try our system and wish you success on your reservations

Before placing your ad:

Look at other Ads on this site as examples to follow. Look at the photos, the characteristics and prices of your area.

On a piece of paper, write down the characteristics of your house, interior and exterior, its location, the proximity to other well-known areas.  Seek information to this respect.

Get a digital camera and take many photos of your house from various angles.  It is always best to have many photos to chose from.  Try to choose a sunny day and the nicest images.

Take close up shots and some overall shots of the property.  Take exterior and interior photos.  Exterior: garden, garage, pool, gymnasium, etc…  Interior: dinning room, living room, bedrooms, bathrooms, solarium, etc…  Keep them saved on your computer in a standard form that will allow for its insertion on to the ad.

Decide on the time frame for renting. If you want to put aside a specific week for yourself or your family during the season, make sure to remember that when you are taking bookings.

In your property:

Make sure that everything is functioning correctly, doors, faucets, blinds, door handles, etc... Replace old appliances. Provide dishware and furniture necessary for clients.

Make an inventory list of items and furniture to preserve their original condition at the end of each stay. Attach a copy at the beginning with a copy of the contract that will be given to the client.

Keep the children in mind.

Change the locks of your property and preserve them after the rental, that way no one will have a copy of the original keys.

Contact your insurance agent to discuss your insurance needs when renting your property.

Organize who will do the check-ins and check-outs, as well as the changing of linens and cleaning.

From here on:

Keep in mind that the reservations are from one Saturday to Saturday.  Usually check-out 3:00pm, check-in 11:00am.

The weekend starts Friday night and ends Sunday afternoon.

You will receive frequent e-mail messages, you should always respond to these promptly in regard to reservations and other enquiries.

You should set-up a payment procedure and a contract for both parties.  You should take a deposit and be aware of fraud schemes that are around.  For a contract you should consult your lawyer for one.

Take care of greeting and accommodating your clients, as well as providing them with a telephone number they can contact you with.

On the day of arrival, go over details of the house and describe how to use the heating and cooling thermostats, the water and gas valves.

Leave tourist information and recommend good restaurants and hot spots.

Write up a client satisfaction questionnaire in regard to the accommodations in order to improve the quality of your property for future clients or for the following year.  This will allow you to increase your rates based on the renovation or modifications of the property.
